Montana Reinoehl is a graduate student for Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Irvine’s Samueli School of Engineering and a researcher for the Institute of Transportation Studies, Irvine. Working alongside Professor Elisa Borwoski, Montana examines how differences between people, populations, and urban forms affect travel behavior. He’s primarily interested in improving transportation models and policies to reduce burdens on specific populations. As a recipient of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship, Montana presents groundbreaking research across the U.S. at various conferences. Originally from Corona, Montana aspires to one day work for a California government agency where he can better the livelihoods within and beyond his hometown. When he’s not conducting research, you can find Montana building community, hiking, traveling, reading, and trying diverse cuisines.
