Project Summary

Current automated vehicle braking systems often feel unnatural to human drivers. This project improves safety algorithms known as Control Barrier Functions to produce smoother, more human-like braking while maintaining strict safety guarantees. The team will analyze real driving data, develop enhanced models, and test them through simulation to support safer, more comfortable integration of AVs into mixed traffic.
