Weekly Activity Diary
Everything you do from morning
till night is an activity (sleeping,
eating, showering, working, exercising, picking up your children, watching TV,
seeing a movie, getting a hair cut,
…..etc.). Before a week arrives,
your Weekly Activity Diary records "activities" you know you
will do in the coming week (click here to see what activities you need to enter
before a week arrives). As the week
proceeds, it will continue to record what you have actually done everyday in
the week. The recording of your Weekly Activity Diary will begin from one
Sunday evening and end with the next Sunday.
On the first Sunday evening, you will be asked to indicate the activities you
are going to do for the coming week (i.e., from Monday morning till next Sunday
evening). For example, on a Sunday evening, I know for sure I will go to work
from 9 AM to 5 PM, from Monday to Friday. I know I always go to grocery
shopping on Friday, but the exact time varies. I also know that I have an
appointment with my dentist on 10 AM Wednesday. Suppose right now I don't have
plans to do activities other than the above. Then, I will run the REACT!
program and enter these activities. You only need to enter known details of an
activity. For example, I will enter the day for grocery shopping on Friday, but
I don't need to enter the time, because I am not sure when I will go.
On Monday evening, you
will be asked to enter to the program what you have actually done throughout
Monday. For example, sleeping at home from 12:00 am to 8:00 am; Showering and
dressing at home from 8:00am to 8:30am; Travel to work from 8:30am to 9:00am;
Working at UCI campus from 9:00am to 12:00pm; …etc. After you finish entering your activities of Monday, you will be
asked to enter to the program changes you have made regarding your plans of the
following days (i.e., Tuesday till Sunday).
For example, if today (Monday) I canceled the appointment with my
dentist for Wednesday, I will enter this cancellation to the program. And, if
today I also made a dinner appointment with my friends on Thursday 6:00pm at
Chilli's. I will have to add this activity to my schedule for Thursday.
On Tuesday night, you will run the program
and do the same thing as you do on Monday. The same process will need to be
repeated every night till Sunday night.
