An ideal transportation system supports health, safety, and well-being. In pursuit of this goal, our research examines road safety strategies, particularly for vulnerable users like pedestrians and cyclists, and analyzes transportation’s environmental and public health impacts. We also explore ways to expand reliable transportation for priority communities, advance more inclusive planning to ensure diverse voices shape transportation systems, and create more accessible transportation that fosters economic mobility.
