Amelia Regan is a Professor of Computer Science and Transportation Systems Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. Her research interests are dynamic and stochastic network optimization, parallel and distributed computing, optimal contracting, port operations, logistics systems analysis, freight industry analysis, shipper behavior modeling, freight transportation planning, combinatorial and on-line auction mechanism and algorithm design, transportation economics, ad hoc vehicular networks (VANETs) network design under uncertain demand, humanitarian cyber physical systems, cyber physical transportation systems, and energy policy and its impacts on transportation. Her research has been supported by the National Science Foundation (including a CAREER Award), the Federal Highway Administration, Caltrans, the Transportation Research Board the University of California Transportation Centers and JB Hunt Transportation, Inc. Her research has been published in over 125 journal articles, conference papers and book chapters, in addition to other publications.
